The fourth and final event in the 2018 Station Poker Classic is now in the books, and John Ludwig is the latest Casino Regina championship ring winner. The win marked Ludwig's second career ring from Casino Regina after he took down the third event of the 2017 Diamond Poker Classic, and his fourth win overall.

The Main Event was the most popular event of the entire week. After fields for the first three events coming in around 210 entries, the Main Event soared past that. When everything was counted up, 237 entries were recorded for the Main Event, which created a $237,000 prize pool to be divided between 23 players.

It was a long day of poker, with the final cards being dealt more than 16 hours after cards first went in the air. They made it through to the money bubble fairly quickly when Joe Ranalli burst the bubble a little more than 10 hours after action began. It would be another three hours before the final table was decided, and in the meantime, several notable players hit the cash out cage, including Cindy Kerslake, Joe Ranalli, Curtis Vigoren, andShane Brotherwood.

Bernie Scott was the chip leader when the final table convened, but he was only able to convert that into a third-place finish. Scott's elimination set up a heads up battle between John Ludwig and Kris Klimosko. Ludwig had the massive chip lead going into heads up, and Klimosko knew he'd have to take some chances to make up the chip deficit.

He ended up busting to Ludwig about 10 minutes after heads-up play began when he got his stack in with but Ludwig had an ace and made the call. When the board was dealt, Ludwig had paired his second card while Klimosko was left holding king high. Klimosko earned $39,558 for the runner-up finish, while Ludwig's win was worth $62,558 and the trophy ring. The full final-table results are below.
